On TikTok, followers are not how you get seen
This is the part that trips people up coming from anywhere else. On most platforms, audience size is distribution: more followers, more feed slots, more reach. TikTok does not work like that. It also has an effect that has nothing to do with the algorithm at all. Brands, agencies and other creators read follower counts as a shorthand for whether an account is worth a message, and they do it before they watch anything. That judgement is lazy and everyone knows it, and it happens anyway.
What "free TikTok followers" usually means
The results for this phrase are dominated by three mechanisms, and all three cost you something other than money. The first is the credential form: enter your TikTok username and password so the site can "connect" your account. There is no legitimate reason for a follower service to hold a TikTok login, because adding followers to a public account only ever needs the public @ name. What you are looking at is a password collection point. The second is the coin or task app — install it, follow a queue of strangers, earn currency, spend the currency on followers who are other users doing the same chore.
